Melvin & Sharon
With enormous passion for dance, Melvin & Sharon wanted most to impart dance education and contribute to the development of the DanceSport scene in Singapore. Melvin and Sharon had emerged as the chosen Dance Coaches for Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic, Singapore Institute of Management, Temasek Polytechnic, Hwa Chong Junior College, Singapore American School & Victoria Junior College.
Melvin Tan
Principal of The DanceSport Academy and also well known as the Grand Finalists from local reality dance show “The Dance Floor”. Trained in Hip Hop, Jazz and majoring in DanceSport, he is 13-Times National and Asian DanceSport Champion. Melvin Tan started dancing at the tender age of 9 and was the youngest DanceSport Athlete to have represented Singapore in the various Championships. Together with his partner Sharon, Melvin has represented Singapore in ALL major International DanceSport Championships. In addition, they have traveled to Latvia, Slovakia, Australia, Germany, China, Russia, Italy and many other countries for training and National Representation
Sharon Tan
Principal of The DanceSport Academy & 13-Times National and Asian DanceSport Champion, Sharon Tan started dancing back at her University days at the National University of Singapore. Together with her partner Melvin, Sharon was the National Representative to both the 2005 & 2007 South East Asian Games (SEA) and Asian Indoor Games.
